What Is Left Spin?

Left spin is a bioenergetic concept that describes the direction your cells are spinning on an energetic level. When your cells are spinning counterclockwise (to the left) you are said to be in left spin. This is considered a non-healing state.

Think of it this way: when the lights are off in a room, nothing can really function. That's what left spin looks like energetically. There is little to no energy moving through the cells, which means your body loses its ability to absorb nutrients, detox efficiently, and actually heal.

I first learned about this concept through a bioenergetic supplement company I work closely with, and I began testing every single client for it. What I found was remarkable... 100% of people who come to me are in left spin in some way, shape, or form.

Left Spin vs. Right Spin: What's the Difference?

The opposite of left spin is right spin, cells spinning clockwise (to the right). Right spin is your healing state. It's where you want to be. Here's a simple breakdown:

Left Spin (Non-Healing)
  • Cells spin counterclockwise
  • Low or no cellular energy
  • Poor nutrient absorption
  • Body struggles to detox
  • Healing work doesn't stick
  • Feels stuck or stagnant
Right Spin (Healing State)
  • Cells spin clockwise
  • Energy is flowing and active
  • Nutrients absorb well
  • Body detoxes efficiently
  • Healing work holds and builds
  • Movement and flow return

In right spin, your body can receive, process, and release what it needs to. Toxins that enter your field (physical or energetic) naturally move out. In left spin, those same toxins get stuck, recirculate, and become attachments that are much harder to clear.

Signs You Might Be in Left Spin

If you don't have access to muscle testing or a bioenergetic machine right now, here are the common signs that your body may be in a left spin state:

    You feel like you're on a healing hamster wheel. You're doing all the things (the protocols, the supplements, the energy work) but real progress just isn't happening.

    Your healing work isn't sticking. You feel better after a session or a retreat, then slip right back to where you were within days.

    Supplements and nutrition aren't working like they should. You're investing in high-quality products but not seeing or feeling results.

    Your body feels stuck or stagnant. Like something is always just slightly off, even when you can't name exactly what it is.

    Low energy, even when you're doing "everything right." Sleep, movement, clean food... and still exhausted or depleted.

Where in the Body Can Left Spin Occur?

Left spin doesn't always affect your whole body at once. In my sessions, I use muscle testing to identify where in the body left spin is occurring, because the answer changes everything about how we support you. Left spin can show up in:

  • Whole body β€” the most foundational and common level
  • Specific organs β€” brain, liver, heart, blood, lymphatic fluid
  • Drainage pathways β€” critical for detox protocols
  • Chakras / energy centers β€” when your energetic centers have gone quiet
  • Body systems β€” the entire digestive or lymphatic system, for example
  • Meridians β€” less commonly, but worth noting

This is why I always test for left spin at the very start of every session, whether you're a new client or a long-term one. Getting this information first shapes everything else we do together.

Why This Matters More Than You Think

Here's the part that most people in the wellness world are not talking about. Everyone is discussing nervous system regulation; and yes, that is foundational. But left spin is equally foundational, and it's largely being missed.

From what I've seen working with clients, there are three core things that will keep you from healing optimally:

  • Nervous system freeze β€” your body is stuck in a survival state
  • Energetic attachments β€” unresolved energetic connections that drain your field

If any one of these three is present and unaddressed, your healing work will have a very hard time sticking... no matter how much effort you're putting in.

I've worked with a client who had been focused on healing her body for several decades. She was devoted, knowledgeable, and doing everything "right." But she kept hitting a wall. Through muscle testing, we discovered she had been in nervous system freeze and left spin for most of her life. Her body had actually been trained to be off more than it had ever been on. The non-healing state felt familiar (even safe) to her system.

That's the thing about long-term left spin: your body stops recognizing the healing state as home.

How to Shift From Left Spin Into Right Spin

The good news: it can shift, and sometimes it can shift fast. Here are the primary ways I support clients in moving from left spin into right spin:

Energy Healing

This is something I do with every single client, regardless of whether you come to me for energy work alone or as part of a private mentorship. I test, identify where left spin is occurring, and do targeted energy healing to bring you back into right spin, then muscle test to confirm the shift.

Targeted Supplements

There are specific supplements that help the body get into and maintain right spin. For private mentorship clients, I muscle test to identify exactly which supplements are right for your body (not a generic protocol) but something tested for you specifically.

Crystals & Stones (with Intention)

Through my own testing, I've found that all crystals and stones appear to spin in right spin energetically, which means they carry the frequency of the healing state and can help support you in getting there. The key is intentionality: consciously working with them for this purpose, not just being near them.

Sound: The 111 Hz Alignment Tuning Fork

The energetic frequency of 111 Hz, used through a tuning fork at the crown, can also quickly shift someone into right spin. Not all tuning forks produce this result (it may also be person-specific) but it's a powerful tool when it's the right match.

Daily Retraining

For clients whose bodies have been in left spin for a long time, we treat it as a retraining process. That means testing themselves daily, making adjustments, spotting patterns (like needing more fuel before a workout), and consistently doing the things that return them to right spin until the body begins to hold it naturally.

The Surprising Connection to Your Soul's Mission

Here's something I discovered that genuinely surprised me (and I think it will surprise you too).

Through my research and testing, I found that activities, practices, and creative expressions that are aligned with your soul's purpose and mission will actually put you into right spin.

For me, that's getting on a microphone and speaking. Teaching, leading energy healings, hosting breathwork ceremonies, showing up on this podcast. I tested myself before recording this episode, my brain was in left spin. By the time I finished recording, my entire body had shifted into right spin. Not because I did a supplement or a clearing. Simply because I showed up and did the work I'm here to do.

For you, it might be writing. Or painting. Or dance. Or meditation. Or leading your own healing sessions. Anything that genuinely gives you energy (that lights you up rather than drains you) is likely something aligned with your soul's mission. And living in that alignment is, in itself, a healing act.
